The thought of touching the lives of the first 10 lakh or MILLION long haul truck drivers occurred to me on the Pune-Mumbai Expressway during the drive down with Mr S R Pandurangi, VP, VRL Logistics in mid-October 2014 in his car.
After briefing Mr Pandurangi, the next man in the loop was Gopinath of Antarasolutions, consultant to Mahindra Truck and Bus Division.
Next in line was Mr Phirojshah Sarkari, CEO, Mahindra Logistics Limited two days later when I visited him in his office.
The simple slogan was; MILLION DRIVERS, MILLION POLICIES DRIVE.
The idea was to extend at least a Rs.10 lakhs (million, again) risk cover to long haul truck drivers for protection against accident/death mishaps.
Fully aware this task is a long drawn one. But, am getting ready in collaboration with as many likeminded
persons as possible.

Eligibility:
a) Must be a long haul driver of Indian origin
b) Must hold a valid Driving Licence (Identity proof)
c) Must have an Aadhar Card (residential proof)
d) Must have an operational bank account in India
